Ronald L. Cox, 92 of Browning, IL passed away at 8:50 p.m.
Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Rushville Nursing and
Rehabilitation Home. He was born July 10, 1932, in Browning, IL
the son of Homer C. and Myrtle Lane Cox. He married Glenna Meyer
October 3, 1958, at the First United Methodist Church in
Rushville, IL. He is survived by his wife; (1) son Ron Cox
(Gina) of Browning; (1) daughter Lori Hulvey of Camden, IL; (4)
grandchildren, Dustin Cox, Kayla Henness, Kyle, and Keaton
Hulvey. Ronald received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from
Blackburn College. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1954 to
1956 and was stationed in Germany. Ronald was a farmer, a rural
mail carrier, and a bus driver for Schuyler County. He was a
lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, a
member of the Schuyler County Farm Bureau for over 50 years, and
served as a director, a member of the Browning Methodist Church,
and a charter member of the Browning Senior Center. Ronald’s
greatest joys were trapshooting, duck hunting, attending the
Rushville girls basketball games, and going to his
grandchildren’s sporting events. A funeral service will be held
at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Worthington
Funeral Home with Rev. Charla Meyers officiating. Interment will
be held at Browning Cemetery. A visitation will be held from
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Browning Senior Center or
Schuyler Veterans Homes.

Leo Stanley Bollinger Jr. lovingly Known as Junior 67, of
Browning, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on
Friday, April 18, 2025 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.
He was born December 9, 1957 in Rushville, IL the son of the
late Leo Stanley Sr. and Donna June Toland Bollinger. He will be
remembered by his onery demeanor and wit. In his younger years
he enjoyed fast cars, Harley’s and giving his parents a hard
time. He enjoyed fishing, boating, Natty Light, and having a
good time. As well as embarrassing his loved ones. Junior will
be deeply missed by his family; children Brandy Salmon of
Washington, IN, Jeremy Bollinger (Nicole) of Havana, IL; (5)
grandchildren Essie, Courtney, & Drake Craig and Lillian & Lynna
Bollinger; (2) brothers Fred Bollinger (Susan) of Rushville, IL,
Rod Bollinger (Penny) of Pekin, IL Cremation has been accorded.
In lieu of service he requested a Celebration of Life to be held
at a later date.

Lori Jean Sipes 53, of Rushville, IL passed away at 11:41 a.m.
Thursday, April 17, 2025 at her home. She was born March 3, 1972
in Rushville, IL the daughter of Michael and Kay David Fair.
She is survived by her mother of Springfield, IL, civil union
partner Janie Wise of Rushville, IL (1) daughter Stevie Sipes of
Oklahoma City, OK; (1) son Dylan Prather of Macomb, IL; (1)
brother: Terry Fair (Jamie) of Springfield, IL; (1) sister:
Diana Dickins (Andrew) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is proceeded
indeath by her father. Lori graduated from Rushville High School
with high honors the class of 1990. She started her employment
at Deb & Di’s, then Alexander Lumber, she became a teacher’s
aid at Rushville school, and finally worked at County Market.
Lori was an avid cook and baker, loved music, enjoyed very
bright colors and wore them proudly, and loved her many cats.
She will be missed dearly by her friends and family. A
celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may
be given to Cass-Schuyler Hospice or the Schuyler County Humane
Society.

Carol J. Parker 83, of Rushville, IL passed away at 2:33 a.m.
Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital. She
was born June 23, 1941, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of the
late Warren Everett & Ruth Genevieve (Smith) Gibbs.
She married Dennis Keith Bergquist and then married
Robert Lee Parker. She
is survived by (2) sons: Donald (Kendra) Bergquist of
Burlington, IA, Douglas (Debra) Bergquist of Ft. Madison, IA:
(1) daughter; Catherine (Barry) Rebman of Rushville, IL: (9)
grandchildren; Heather Bergquist, Doug Bergquist, Daniel
Bergquist (Cassandra), Drew Bergquist, Nichelle Bergquist (Jake
Hull), Taylor Bergquist, Kayne Reece (Alexis), Daymon Reece
(Taylor) and Bobby Bergquist (Codi): (13) great grandchildren:
(1) brother Steven Gibbs of Wyoming: (1) sister Lynda Mettler of
North Carolina: (1) sister-in-law Barbara Gibbs of Burlington,
IL and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by (1) son Robert Keith
Bergquist; (1) brother David Gibbs and (1) sister Janet Scott.
Carol attended Burlington High School graduating in 1959.
Carol worked as a waitress, retiring from Pizza Unlimited
in Rushville, IL. Her
greatest enjoyment was mushroom hunting, boating, riding
motorcycles and spending time with her family. Cremation has
been accorded. A
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the family.

James H. Self 84, of Beardstown, IL passed away at 10:35 a.m.
Saturday April 5, 2025 at the Beardstown Health and Rehab. He
was born March 11, 1941 in Beardstown, IL the son of the late
Denny and Leona Taylor Self. He married Patsy K. Bollinger on
November 19, 1960 at the Browning Methodist Church. She survives
along with (1) son: James Self Jr. (Sandy) of Raymond, IL; (10)
grandchildren: Casey Morgan (Jesse), Abby Mitchell (Cameron),
Alyson Harlacher (Jason), Heather Apps, Jennifer Archer
(Justin), Leslie Berardinelli (Dominic), Kristin Buchanan
(Joel), Marc Gaines (Chelsea Mathena), Kelsey Harms (Isaiah),
Katie Uzun (Ersin), numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. He was preceded
in death by (2) daughters Pamela Gaines and Brenda Reische; (1)
brother Francis Self; (4) sisters Mary Thrower, Audrey Smyers,
Edith Lanier and Clara Mahnken.
Jim worked at Oscar Mayer, co-owned Jim’s Marine then did
carpentry for several years and worked at True Value. He enjoyed
woodworking, hunting, fishing and most of all his grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Beardstown City Cemetery with Pastor
Matt Haberman officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday
from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Worthington Funeral Home. In
lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s
Association or American Cancer Society.

William Schramm 71, of Springfield, IL passed away at 2:55 p.m.
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Springfield Home Residential
Assisted Living in Springfield, IL. Bill was born January 20,
1954 in Rushville, IL, the son of Kermit & Barbara (Roudebush)
Schramm. He married Ann Fulks on April 25, 1982 at the Rushville
First United Methodist Church. She survives along with (1) son
Nick (Brianne) Schramm; (2) grandchildren Ella & Braden Schramm,
all of Springfield, IL; (2) sisters Sue (Don) Behymer of
Springfield, IL and Debbie (Keith) Kramer of Cape Coral, FL; (1)
sister-in-law Beth (Paul) Leach of Salisbury, IL; (3)
nephews Curtis Behymer of Chicago, IL, Joe (Kasey) Henricks and
Matt (Stephanie) Henricks, both of Rushville, IL. He is preceded
in death by his parents, and mother & father-in-law, Roger and
Marjie Fulks. Bill graduated from Rushville High School in 1972
and received his Bachelors in Marketing degree from Western
Illinois University in 1976. He was a Senior Manufacturing
Engineer at Caterpillar in East Peoria. Bill was an avid sports
fan. He enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon, the St. Louis Cardinals,
Miami Dolphins, and the Fighting Illini.
Bill loved to golf, ride his Harley, go boating, attend
sporting events and live music concerts, but loved nothing more
than watching his grandchildren participate in activities.. A celebration of life will be held Saturday,
April 26, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Panther Creek
Country Club 3001 Panther Creek Dr., Springfield, IL. Prayer and
special remarks will take plat at 3:30 p.m. Please wear sports
apparel to honor Bill. Memorials may be given to the Gift of
Hope Community Foundation or his grandchildren’s education fund.

William Gayle Rucker 80, of Rushville, IL passed away Friday,
March 28, 2025 at his home. Bill was born on January 6, 1945 in
Hayes, KS the son of the late William and Florence Loree
Mickelson Rucker. He married Betty Palmer on March 21, 1970 at
the Little White Church in Melrose Park, IL. She survives along
with (4) children Kassandra Lynn Cline & David of Albion, IL,
Destini Marie McFall & Wayne of Statham, GA, Donald Curtis
Rucker & Jordan of Vienna, VA, Chad Michael Rucker & Melissa;
(10) Grandchildren Jillian, Alyssa, Kaelen, Andy, Billy,
Patricia, Logan, Curtis, Kylee, Ayden,; (3) great-grandchildren
Charlotte, Chase, and Bellamy;
(1) sister Patricia Reed & Partner Jane Frost of Cape
Cod, MA. (1) brother Charles Rucker & Judy of California. He was preceded in death by (1) sister Francis Loree
Rucker Pierce. Bill attended several universities including Fort
Hayes State, Ohio State Elmhurst, Free Port Jr. College,
Northern Illinois, and Northwestern Theological Seminary. He
served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War
afterword he married his wife Betty and started their family. He
taught and coached for several years and was called to minister
in 1971 serving several churches including Albion, Marion and
Rushville. He served as the Director of activities at Sharps
Park in Melrose Park, mayor of Albion and several other
positions throughout the years. Bill enjoyed playing cards,
golf, attending any kind of sporting event, he enjoyed visiting
with people and especially telling bad jokes, and he liked to
play “Daniel Boon”, where he would take a short cut while
driving not necessarily
on the road that would cause the trip to extend a couple of
hours. Bill was a family man he loved spending time with his
wife, children and especially his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later
date.
